Saludong, officially "The Sovereign Military and Hospitalier Order of San Kalungsod Saludong", is a multi-nation Male Exclusive Sovereign Order who's origins lie in the Saludong Home Archipelago when it united its' native inhabitants and drove out its' invaders and afterwards waged a war or retribution against them. Its' Capital in the mainlands is located in Manila as it rules over the colonies of Vigan and Clark in Draca Mixor as well as Butuan, Sultan Kudarat and General Santos in Lynx Minor. It began as travelling mercenary band before it expanded, aquiring nations through enrolling their royalties as members of the order, it eventually became tributary-state to the THE UNION STATES OF AMERICA after that nation granted it land to occupy near its' territories, it is also an Order which militarily and economically assists the members of the White Giant Alliance.

The Sovereign Order of San Kalungsod Saludong or simply "Saludong" is a Male-Exclusive Military, Hospitalier, Educational and Aristocratic Order founded by King Petros and Female President as well as Visionary named Scholastica and currently reigned over by by a secret leader and Christened in honor of the saint who inspired them, San Pedro Kalungsod. The Order exercises rule and guidance over several client kingdoms and republics it calls mandates. Its’ main center is located in the Contested Archipelago, a small group of islands bounded to the north by the landmass of Lynx Minor. The Order’s origins lie in the aristocratic survivors of Old Saludong an Empire of Spartan-like Greco-Roman culture which fled a country-ruining civil war. The band of nobles became a roving army for hire that built strength and improved itself through nomadic military campaigns and strategic family making with various royal families, before they settled in the Contested Archipelago between the continent of Auriga Bella and Lynx Minor. The Order restored the fallen Republic of the Philippians, a federation of local Taoist, Hindu and Muslim island kingdoms which successively settled in waves to the archipelago before it’s invasion by Hispanics as well as incorporate the Latino Caciquedoms that rebelled against the Hispanic Empire. It is a state modeled after the real life Philippines. That Republic (Philipian Republic) after rebelling against the Hispanics, fell to her Imperialist neighbors from the larger continents that bound it. Then, the territory was a barren warzone due to it being a battlefield between her neighbors until the Order arrived and united the people and drove out the invaders. After the wars of restoration, the Order turned it’s mandates, the sub kingdoms in the federation of the archipelago into centers of cultural, physical, spiritual and intellectual excellence and the Order together with its' Mandate-Nations through colonies in the continents of the mainland became a world leader in Education, Sports, Health, Spirituality and Technology. In addition to shepherding her mandates, the Order also wages wars of liberation and acts as hired muscle for armies across the world and the Order is known for her military feats.

In 3628, in vengeance against the kingdoms of Lynx Minor, the Order sallied out from the archipelago and conquered the coast lands of Lynx Minor and destroyed the kingdoms of Lanit, Uxor, Madrit and Dancox and replaced them with colonial provinces. In the meantime, subjugating the population by forcing them to send their handsomest, fittest and brightest men to become tributes to the archipelago which transformed into a training, gym, educational and resort area for young men of the Order as the capital was moved to the Lynx Minor continent. The Saludong Order then imposed their pro-aristocracy culture on the mainland expelling the Republicans and Monarchists and having the fit young men they received as tributes from their mandates, stud-service the vast majority of the slave women. In 3723, the warrior Leonardo de Guia impressed himself upon the Emperor of Per0 at the Western Nordic continent of Draca Mixor, and the emperor made him his homosexual-lover (Although Leonardo himself had wives and children), Leonardo was appointed as Supreme General and he used that to import more Saludong soldiers to Per0 who set about seducing the military men of Per0 through Spartan-like military homosexuality, and thus in a public cermony where Emperor Galang Ako and General Leonardo de Guia sexually united and drank each other’s intermingled seed from one cup to signify the union of their families. Per0 became a mandate-state of the Order and the Per0 royal family became Viceroys to the Czars in Lynx Minor and their nation was relabeled “Manila” and the capital was moved there. In the meantime, the Order is working on Reconquering Old Saludong. The same thing happened with the other neighboring kingdoms where their Haris (Kings) fell in love with his Saludong Warrior-Lover, Alexandros and Jose and willingly joined their kingdoms to become mandates of the Order. By 4440 AD it has become a force to reckoned with in the world stage.

Etymology

San Kalungsod Saludong is a Sovereign Order named after Saint/San Pedro Kalungsod and in honor of the fallen nation of Old Saludong. Ka-Lungsod itself is Filipino for “Fellow Citizen of the City” while “Lung” means “Dragon” in Chinese. Saludo is Hispanic for “Salutations” and comes from the Latin “Salud” meaning “Good Health”.

Philosophy

The Philosophy of San Kalungsod Saludong lies in the founding document of Compendium Saludong written by President Scholastica and promulgated during the Revolution for Restoration and the ensuing war for sovereignty against foreign occupiers. It's a philosophy that emphasizes exercising and striving for physical, mental and spiritual excellence as well as harmony with nature and society. It also has strong pro-aristocracy leanings and believes in Eugenics, Free Market Capitalism, Militancy, intervention in foreign conflicts as well as having a strong system of Justice, it also believes in Human Equity and Cultural Preservation. Scientific Advancement is also emphasized but balanced with Religious Zeal. Its real life equivalent position in the Political Spectrum would be Alt-Lite.

Traveler's Introduction

Hello there, it might strike you as quite quaint but as I see fit, when I traveled across this nation called San Kalungsod Saludong, I found it as a very vibrant country, with a lot of peculiarities. Some, fun; some, strange, but you will always be engaged! My name is Johannes Von Nielheim and I come from the Principality of Bienenhalde. To begin, coming from a country of a strong and conservative highland Nordic character, it was immediately a culture shock and a pleasant surprise to encounter the sun-kissed land of tropical San Kalungsod Saludong and it’s Latino-Islander population. As you travel across the country, you would be immediately struck by its archipelagic character. There are 12 main islands and thousands of small islets and corral atolls. If you ride a boat, ship, or own a yacht; meandering across the islands, while swimming, surfing and sun-bathing, what catches the eye is the immediate maritime beauty.

Islands primarily form the territory of the homeland.

There are scores of coves, harbors, bays and channels to which, you can anchor ship and just enjoy the beach and the crystal clear torquise waters. What also struck me is that when we use cars in the old country, Bienenhalde, as a means of transport, the people of San Kalungsod Saludong instead use boats, to a ubiquitous degree. Their cities are even oriented to this! Water transport is so common, most cities have canals. The usual San Kalungsod Saludongian city which is located at the mouth of river systems is mostly serviced by trains and subways and what counts as their roads are actually canals. This is because an average household will be more likely to own a boat than a car, since on land, most travel is taken care of by an extensive public transport system of trains and subways, thereby negating the need for cars on land, leaving boats the primary personal vehicle. The Ocean, instead of being a barrier to transport, is their highway and entire cities are connected to this and other cities by rivers and canals. There is a drawback to this though, due to the abundant coasts there are little hinterlands suitable for mass farming unlike in Bienenhalde with her rolling plains, that produce bountiful wheat and maze for consumption. Nevertheless, the nation of San Kalungsod Saludong is a net exporter of food still. This is all due to the fact that instead of letting their inland hills and mountains go barren, they terraced it and rotate in growing various crops in there. This is helped by the fact that the climate is tropical and so they can grow crops, vegetables and fruits all year round with two to three harvests per year, compared to the lone one we have in the north. Meat products are very expensive though since the islands simply don’t have enough room for livestock pastures, but the lack of meat is offset by the abundance of seafood, both farmed and wild. Seafood being a leaner and healthier source of protein, has caused the population to be less fat than had they sourced their protein via beef, chicken or pork, such is the the secret of the order's members' good physiques..

Speaking of physiques, I was pleasantly surprised that they have quite a liberal attitude to flesh exposure! Believe it or not, the normal attire, even in formal occasions, is beachwear! Imagine being in a board room full of people wearing only trunks and bikinis! And this is only for Sub-nations under the Composite State, the ruling Supra-nation, which is the Order itself, has even got it a notch further in making nudity among its’ men (The Order is Male-Exclusive) or member-knights, compulsory! This is a holdover practice from Old Saludong where the young soldiers practice and resistance-train in extreme weather-conditions, naked in the freezing cold and naked in the blistering heat, to condition their bodies to extremes. Meanwhile, at our home country we often judge people’s status as richer when they wear finer and more layered clothing but in here, the less clothing you have the more prestigious you are.

A wonderful land of wonderful people

There is a price for all the good health, roaring industries, cheap electricity, and good welfare and education policies, in that San Kalungsod Saludong is in the top 10 percent of nations having abnormally high tax-rates. In this sense, it is less like a tropical nation and more like a follower of Nordic-Socialist policies, where the government rigorously taxes the citizens, almost to death, but at the same time, provide, often for free; insurance, schooling, hospitalization, employment, construction and business services. Over time, however, the government is slowly reducing its' dependence on taxing the populace by introducing Value Added Tax and venturing into the business of Sovereign Wealth Funds, where they can earn money abroad, among which the government has liberal investments at our Tourism sectors in the Principality of Bienenhalde and the Cheeze and Dairy Industry of Free Las Pinas, the Defense Industry of Amelia, the Mining Sector of The Union States, and even though the nation locally bans drugs, has liberal investments in Echolilia's Recreational Drugs Party Scene.

Pleasantly, though the average work-day is short here and not taxing since the country is extremely digitized, as High Technology Industries are very well developed and thus, most manual labor has been delegated to robots and AI, therefore the ordinary person spends a good percentage of their time, in leisure; reading (they have a very large publishing industry), exercising, engaging in sports, or playing music and pursuing cultural escapades, a very different environment to our stern work, work, work mindset. Except for the daily business of commerce and war (let’s not forget that the nation is a Military Order), almost everyday is a party! And now if you don’t mind, I have to practice my Kareoke and Limbo skills!

History

Formative Period

According to legend…

The first Diwata, Kandarapa descended from heaven and she created the archipelago called Magandang Islas in the middle of the Peaceful Ocean, full of virgin islands. However, because it was at the center of an Ocean with many lands surrounding it, it soon became known as the “Contested Archipelago” by later settlers who waged wars over it.

In the actual history, 5000 years before present, the islands were not islands but were actually a landmass, one big continent called Zunda, the aboriginal peoples, Negritos who were black-skinned, settled across the land and these were followed by a then unknown and advanced civilization whose experiments caused a catastrophic explosion of a megavolcano that flooded and submerged the landmass in rising sea levels as their civilization adapted to their inundated cities. Only the mountains of the submerged continent remain and that became the archipelago while the civilization of these precursors were utterly erased from the surface.

The Contested Archipelago

The Contested Archipelago is the main territory of the state of San Kalungsod Saludong, it is home to the Precursor Civilization of Aquamen, the aboriginal Negritos who are older, and later, several native island kingdoms which were founded after the inundation. It is a vast and rich archipelago that's larger than the original homeland at the Saludong peninsula, it became an impoverished battleground between rival neighboring empires until the remnants of Saludong organized into a Sovereign Military Order, liberated the native peoples and enriched as well as ruled them through mandates.

Archaic Time

The Malayo-Polynesians had wooden boat and houses. From 1000 B.C. to 900 A.D. After the sinking of the landmass and its transformation into islands and the retreat of the Precursors deep under the sea to become Aquamen, several waves of Malayo-Polynesians arrived at the former landmass, these people established several Kedatuans, mainly, of Madas, Zabag, Puto-an, Waka-waka, Isdao and Lapitan. Datu Kabalyog briefly united them in alliance of city-states before fragmenting. Their city-states were made of wood and were built on the mouth of rivers at the entrance to the sea, while they sailed their boats further upstream to trade with the Negrito tribes.

Barangic Era

Indianization led to the rise of urban cultures beyond the riverine one founded by the Malays.

From 900 A.D. to 1400 A.D. Waves of new influences from the mainland, led to the establishment of new states, most were Hindu. The Malayo-Polynesian Kedatuans of Zabag and Waka-waka were destroyed and replaced by the rising Hindu Rajahnates of Singhapala, Suluk and Naymila, meanwhile the Puto-an royal family converted from Animism to Hinduism and became mixed-raced wealthy intermediaries between the more native Malayo-Polynesians and the Indic invaders. Rajah Sri Lumai was a mythological founding hero of the Rajahnates of the era. During the 1400s, Islamizing influences from the mainland permeated as well. The Sultanates of Landao and Kindao was established and Suluk converted from Hinduism to Islam and imported the Emir Sharif Hali from the mainland as their ruler, meanwhile, Naymila retained the Rajahnate system but became Muslim and peaked under Rajah Suleiman. These states were small in nature due to the segmented island geography. All these states where trading with grand Sina and were also receiving alot of Sinitic migration too but mostly of the adventurous, commercial, warlike and piratical type since there were constant battles and wars between the port principalities which allowed for adventurers to sell their talents, chief of the Sinitic adventurers of the era was Ong Sung Pim who became a prime minister in the Sincized pirate state of Fengaschilan.

Colonial Epoch

Hispaniolic colonization established pueblos and barrios.

During the 1500s, a new invader arrived, but instead of establishing local states they turned the contested archipelago into a colony. The empire that did so was the Hispaniolic empire. At first they tapped native rivalries against Islam in the archipelago, as an alliance with the locals, since the Hispaniolic empire had also expelled Muslims from their homeland, they used that to amalgamate the Hindus, Buddhists and Animists of the Contested Archipelago against the Muslims via a divide and conquer tactic. Soon, all the archipelago fell under their grip. Even though they built many colonial era developments and institutes, the Hispaniolic empire merely considered the Contested Archipelago as an entropot to the riches of continent. However, due to the tenacity of the natives in constantly rebelling, they continually sent Latino soldiers to quell rebellions and defend from enemy raids. All throughout the era, the colony called Las Islas Philippians was nothing more than a resource extraction colony, entrepot and military outpost to deport rebellious Latinos from their other colonies, too as well as a place to dump criminal homeland-born Hispaniolans. There was near continuous 300 years of Hispaniolic domination. However, the Hispaniolic Empire murdered Jose Ryzal in the war, but not before his daughter, Sophia was elected as the first President of the Federal Republic of the Philippians. After a massive war of independence which destroyed the land and fractured the people, independence was finally declared and recognized on June 12, 1898.

Cacique Democracies

The splintering into Cacique Republics occured during the Industrial Era.

However, the early 1900s became an era of fragmentation though, the Federal Republic soon collapsed on itself due to ethnic divisions and several Cacique Democracies arose, which based themselves off the experimental sister democracies of their Latino cousins in the Hispaniolic empire. The philosophy of the Philippians went into decline and massive civil war forced Sophia to retreat her forces into the hinterlands as the valleys and beachheads were swarmed with liberal pro-foreigner factions. 2 neighboring Cacique democracies in the region were on opposite sides of the ideological spectrum, the Northern Neighbor leaned right with while the Southern Neighbor leaned left, these two Cacique democracies and neighbors played into the Philippian Civil War by planting partisans to fight against each other while tapping the Latino groups in the archipelago as familial and blood ties to the bloodied islands.

Subjugation by Neighboring Empires

In the late 1900s, following the long standing intrusion of continental powers into domestic affairs after the fragmentation of the nation, neighboring nations saw opportunities to carve their own puppet states and colonies in the contested archipelago and soon they joined the free for all war for the islands too. The people and the land was eventually scarred with conflict. This era was known as the war of the 10000 States, named after the multitude of fiefdoms that arose across the archipelago a midst the islands. Meanwhile, the, former President, Sophia was killed by the violence and her daughter Scholastica inherited the honors of her office but she was exiled to the island of Dangha but nevertheless put up Spiritual, Philosophical and Non-Violent Resistance to the invaders of her native land. This was when in a bout of mystical revelation it was revealed to her in a prophetic dream that one day as the shining man in her visions say, she will stand a chance to restore her fallen country...

The Lost Homeland

Old Saludong collapsed after the civil war and then fell to the Caliphate.

Despite the nation of San Kalungsod Saludong being currently based in the contested archipelago, her roots lie elsewhere. The founders of San Kalungsod Saludong originally came from the Old Saludong, a country which lies in a peninsula bordering the open ocean and an inner Mediterranean type sea shared with other nations. It was a nation based on Greco-Roman culture and has been at the cutting edge of martial, engineering, technological and cultural innovation since the classical era, until a civil war ripped the nation apart. Over the course of the eras, there has been a growing stratification of people, the Aristocrats and the Commoners, the former believed in rule of the best and the latter believed in rule of the majority. During the reign of Alexandros Paleologos who was widely considered by the common people as a ruthless dictator due to his warlike stance to neighbors, there was a widespread uprising against his rule due to the crippling of the economy thanks to war and his scandalous femdoming of traditionally dominant men as he often tired his men with brutal training regimens and even forced them to work out in the nude in either the harshest winters or sweltering summers to condition their bodies to extremes, in the process culling the weak and training the muscles while at the same time invite his wives or foreign princesses to witness and even plan the exercises to the delight of the women. Due to this, a peasant uprising arose and Alexandros Paleologos was murdered as well as a third of the aristocracy loyal to him. The aristocracy then decided to leave old Saludong after the crown-prince Andrei Paleologos received a vision from a shining figure that he should bring his men with him and build a new society elsewhere. And so, taking half of the royal treasures and most of the royal library with them, the items which were not looted by the uprising anyway, they sailed into the open ocean.

Decadence

The fall of Old Saludong is due to decadence.

Old Saludong, without the presence of its formerly warlike aristocracy, blossomed into a bastion of democracy and equality, but only for a brief moment. Soon, its people fragmented due to the lack of a ruling dynasty and the territory was divided into several principalities and republics. Taking advantage of the fragmentation, an Emir named Ibn Aliq who himself was a fleeing survivor of a civil war in a Middle Eastern Caliphate, established his new rival Caliphate in what is now Old Saludong. Ibn Aliq then fused local and Middle Eastern cultures to form a new power in the shared sea and soon it became a force in its own right.

Salvation

The Philipians and the Saludong exiles were saved by the grace of a Saint.

Andrei Paleologos and his army totally composed of fit and young aristocratic men plus his wife and his family, upon their exile from old Saludong, traversed the open ocean and then arrived in the Middle Ocean. To supplement their income and tap their strength, they wandered the Ocean as well as several other regions as an armed band of mercenaries. In the meantime, the royal family and aristocrats took this time to prove their martial valor and improve their lineage via marrying and making families with the noble ladies their mercenary forces worked for. Nevertheless, they didn’t lose their nomadic and raiding character for 4 generations until the leadership of Petros Paleologos who by that time, had nomadically transferred to the region of The Archipelago, that in a particular battle against an oppressive local empire received a vision in the sky of an army of men growing from the sun and lighting up everything else with it, which he took as a blessed omen and made it part of his new flag. This inspired him to win the siege, the vision didn’t end there, after the battle, he sailed and followed the path of the sun all day Northwards until it finally set on the Contested Archipelago. So, being curious settled his forces there and built encampments.

Rise of San Kalungsod Saludong

Saludong's royal remnants became a Militant Sovereign Order and re-established their state in the Archipelago, restoring and fusing with the Philippian Republic, then shepherding a league of local kingdoms.

Petros Paleologos was sleeping as well as Scholastica, when the shining man that were the central figure of their ancestors’ visions visited them in a dream pointing them to go to a local shrine, he promised Petros that he would be the father of a nation and Scholastica that she would restore hers', they were to go to the shrine the following day, and meditate there. The following morning, both people met on an abandoned local shrine and once they got acquainted, asked the locals to whom the shrine is dedicated to, the locals then said it was shrine to the Catholic saint, San Pedro Kalungsod.

Convergence

After a very long discussion it became clear to both Petros and Scholastica, that the saint had guided them to this very moment. That Petros’ army had been forged in the crucible of various wars and wandered the world to strengthen themselves so that they could refound the fallen Old Saludong as a union with a restored Philippians. They combined the red and blue colors of the fallen Philippian Republic with Petros’ omen of the Sun of Men to form the sigil of the new nation, Scholastica then wrote a new founding document based on the tractates of the Philippians and the ideals and literature of the royal books of Old Saludong as well as the military and scientific theses the nomadic band had accumulated through the generations, and created the “Compendium Saludong”, a grand Encyclopedia organizing the collective knowledge and ideals of President Scholastica's former nation and why it should be restored and the chronicles of King Petro's wandering remnant army and using that as Manifesto of their cause, to be distributed among the people of the Contested Archipelago to establish rapport between them and the militant brotherhood, and thus plan and organize the restoration of their fallen nations.

Establishment

The Order, now powerful, is waging wars for liberating others and reconquering Old Saludong from the Caliphate.

With the combining of the forces of President Scholastica and King Petros, a massive unification drive and military liberation of former Philippian territory went underway. First, it began as a guerrilla movement with strategic raiding and retreats against the enemy occupiers: the nations of the northern and southern continents. Then several towns began rallying to the cause of restoration as occupier strength were peaking in the cities and coasts, however what gave further power to the restoration was the promise to the various native and immigrant groups that the restoration would give them rule over their own lands and subkingdoms in a composite state, instead of being treated as colonies. Inspired by the promise of returned autonomy, the formerly suppressed native kingdoms defected in an avalanche of support to the restorationists. A symbolic victory came about with the capture of the former colonial capital and largest city, of Manila, came through. After which the occupying powers offered to sue for a conditional surrender. The restorationists didn’t want terms and King Petros ordered that every occupier would be expelled from the Contested Archipelago, so 5 more years of war came by until the very last occupying force, a battalion from the Northern continent left the archipelago in 1911 in humiliating defeat. After the last occupier was expelled from the archipelago, a general congress to rationalize the territorial subdivisions and ratify the Compendium Saludong was held on September 9 1919.

Manila, the capital has blossomed into a buzling but beautiful Megacity.

As the restoration of the Philippians came about, it became a power in the region of the archipelago by its’ own right. The Philippian Republic declared itself to be part of a composite state, made up of several subkingdoms and principalities, and afterwards the composite state declared the creation of the Order of San Kalungsod Saludong, in honor of the saint who made the restoration possible and was positioned as part of its' Composite State. The Order was given sovereign status and territory was set aside, mostly in the cities and bases dotting the archipelago as the surrounding subkingdoms and even the Philippian Republic itself was given over to the Order as its “mandates”, in which the Order protects and fosters the populations and in exchange the mandates give them their young men to be trained or serve in the order as well as give a certain percentage of resources as contributions or investments. Under the guidance of The Order, the archipelago flourished culturally, militarily, scientifically and diplomatically. Local cultures were protected and enriched while a mandated fitness regimen and families competing for aristocratic status fueled a eugenics program that increased the general health of the people. Free market capitalism was also employed as clans competed in wealth and prestige. Competition and private sector driven economics made prices low. A space program was developed and domestic trade as well as foreign commerce with the rest of the continents of Lynx Minor, Auriga Bella, and Draco Mixor flourished. The nation became renowned as a center of Culture, Cuisine and Tourism as well as female romance tourism, due to it’s abundance of fit, aristocratic and naked young men who supplement their incomes with romancing and having sexual relations and producing children with visiting women. The military also became a powerful force as it continued it’s work as paid muscle to intervene in state conflicts abroad. The main industries asides from Tourism and the Army, are, Agriculture, Publishing, Information Technology, Arms Manufacturing, Mass Media, and Entertainment as the population quintupled into 107 Million people.

Expansions over the Mainland Continents

The Order has territories in the continents of Draca Mixor and Lynx Minor as well as the homeland islands.

The location of the nation is quite vast. Originally centered in the Contested Archipelago, where the homeland is and has remained the original territory of the Order. However, things began to shift lately as the nation surged into prominence because it waged wars of conquest in the early years of the 3300s. The reality of the situation is that the country was forced to enter into war because it was just a small collection of island kingdoms situated in an archipelago off the coast. One time, the northerners from the continent of Lynx Minor passed through the archipelago with their navy intending to attack the southern continent of Auriga Bella and through their fleets, had decimated the home islands as they raided it. Faced with the inevitable possibility that the larger nations in the neighboring northern continent of Lynx Minor and southern Auriga Bella have the capacity to destroy the home islands, the FAAF, the “Federation of the Archipelago - Armed Forces” were formed in order to avenge the raid on the archipelago and subjugate the mainland nations as a preemptive tactic to stall further attacks. First, the FAAF attacked and incorporated 4 countries to the north and then named them after Philippian figures and thus the colonies of Butuan, Sultan Qudarat, General Santos and Dapitan were established among the conquered Middle Easterners of Linx Minor. Then, due to the masculinity of our men seducing the Nordic princes living in Draxa Mixor, 3 countries: Clark, Vigan and Manila of which Manila, was the most developed and the capital of the Federation was transferred there, willingly joined our Federation. As of current time, this combination of diplomatic assimilation and conquest has expanded the territories of our Order.

Exaltation of Men

The Order now grown rich with vast number of territories across various continents soon focused on its greatest assets, its people, mostly the male members of the Order. The Order then went into a Eugenics and Diet program. At first the genetics of the men were directly edited by gene editing technology, over time as much as 50% of the Order soon came from genetically engineered "New Types" however, philosophical and religious issues soon arose from purposely genetically engineering humans, trapping them in one occupation for their whole life. Due to this assault on free will and choice, there arose an anti-New Type Crusade. Soon the Inquisition of Naturals was set up to ensure genetic purity. Most New Types submitted to the Inquisitions and remixed with the natural population, at the same time granting the freedom denied to New Types and advanced genetic properties to Naturals. These new mixed bred people were called "Elect". Bloodlines of the elect had great physical and mental strength, and added features that made them very attractive and sought after, musk and sweat which smells like men's perfume and semen which tasted like different flavors of food, affixed to their Y-DNA. There was also an added bonus too, their diets were peppered with rare medicines, fruits, and spices, coupled with mandatory exercises, mostly gymnastics, swimming, weight lifting, military procedure and allied arts; producing a body odor aroma and taste of the flesh which drove the Order's clients, men and women, crazy. Nevertheless, the ban on artificial genetic engineering caused a gradual dilution of the New Types genetic legacies over each new generation. Soon, sweat no longer smelled as sweet as every new son born to a father and semen tasted less and less appetizing for every new generation. So to prevent the dilution of genetic legacy, the naturals soon formed castes among themselves to breed naturally and maintain the genetic legacy of their New Type Ancestors. Over time the abilities recovered, however, at the high cost of reverting to the violation of freedom. You were stuck to breed with the caste you were given at birth. Soon the Caste System bred exotic and high performing breeds, often the best warriors, scholars, scientists, male performers, however, they were all chafing under virtual slavery, and so a religious reformed called Arakha founded the Diamond way. Unique caste propogate and grow their breeds however they are going to contribute to a large Middle Way as the ideal Class Pyramid in Economics is the Diamond, rather than Pyramid, wherein the Middle Class is the majority. The middle will have the powers of all but not in excellence which is reserved for the different breeds, however innovations are to circulated from middle to extremity in a constant cycle of extension and reconsolidation. The Diamond Way cast Saludong to its heights. But soon it will come crashing down...

Corruption of Men

Due to the eugenics, breeding, fitness, and romancing obsession of the Order of Kalungsod, soon it became well known far and wide for being a trader of its own manpower, at first it often sent soldiers, architects, "entertainers" and mercenary men from its costituent states abroad to serve in the militaries and civilian industries of overseas states. The Kalungsod soldiers were very pivotal in the battles and wars waged by Matthew III of New Batavia and the ruler of America. In matters of commerce and Saludong state owned enterprises soon bought out alot of the industries and companies of other nations. As for our civilian manpower, architects soon built grandiose monuments across the world, and finally our "entertainers", various artists, dancers, and actors, who, on banking on their handsome good looks and the unique eugenics, diet, and exercise regime of the Order, became influencers with legions of fanboys and fangirls, boy bands like 4Real and In-Sight were all the rage across the solar system, and sometimes get paid by clients to sexually service them AKA to let them worship their well tone bodies and smell their sweat and somtimess ejaculate on the clients whether on their bodies or use their uniquely tasting flavorfull semen as foodstuff. So in conjunction with these factors, either alone or combined, but mostly combined the order soon became embedded in the minds of the popular masses, in the high ranking echeleons of international military power, and even became a diplomatic heavyweight to the point that at its peak, the Sovereign Order of Saludong was elected as the Secretary-General of the United Nations. However, this had a downside too, the well fit men of the Order soon lost its spiritual mandate and fell into extereme carnal lust, multiple men were being auctioned off to serves orgies staged for the highest bidders, corruption in the navy, military, airforce, and space force also crept in as the people were no longer loyal to the Order alone as the entangling alliances the Order had gotten into had created cliques and special interest groups who Filibuster in foreign lands, thus their interest lay abroad with their patrons and various lovers and matelotages. Soon, the Order's dignity and spiritual roots became secondary to its earthly roots. Male prostitution became rife as military discipline decayed, exercise was pursued just to increase physique and sexual pleasure instead of it becoming a sign of discipline. It reached a point where even the heartland traficked its own young men. Due to borgeoning demand, Saludong's young men where forced to serve their penises to be orally suckled in every meal as a side dish or protein shot and the general male population had to be corralled into industrial scale semen milking factories to provide enough Saludong semen for mass consumption as the run away Eugenics had cause the men's semen to be used in cosmetics, fuel, food flavorings, preservatives, healing balms, and the like. It was a spiral into sheer madness. But the worst was yet to come.

Invasion of the Man Eaters

The runaway deliciousness of Saludong manpower soon attracted the attention of of varying Empires: human, vampire, monster, demon, and alien; who have grown a liking to the pleasures of the flesh of Saludong men: either it be their sexual, culinary, labor, or strategic values. But Saludong was a Global Hegemon which was a very tough cookie to crack. It was the head of a vast empire which was also the head of a vast Federation of Nations. To subvert and enslave the people of the Sovereign Order was indeed a tall Order to finish. But as the saying goes, Rome wasn't built in a day and likewise, wasn't destroyed in a day too. Nevetheless, these alliance of predators went to work. The human enemies of the Order forged pacts with the demons, monsters, and aliens; to enslave the people of Saludong. And, since many nations have grown jealous and envious of the success of Saludong, many plotted Saludong's demise. The pacts with demons, monsters, and aliens, gave magical powers to the "Covenant" the Cabal dedicated to destroying Saludong, as it were. And the Order by having lost most of the initial spirituality and discipline which proved key to its rise, was soon, bereft of the necessary spiritual and physical weapons they precisely originally had against them. First the Cabal infiltrated the lust, greed, and power hungry elite of the Order, sowing division, hate and competition amongst each other, classic divide and conquer, while among the masses, decadence, indulgence, and inversion of morality was being peddled as normal. It took time but slowly, little by little the Cabal bit off each a piece of the men of the Order. Young men where soon being abducted by aliens to serve in the meat and semen farms in outer space, while monsters began devouring once powerful soldiers who have slayed them many times before, the mages of the Order now found their spells ineffective against the demons, as the aristocracy found themselves outmaneauvred by other nations. But the Order did not notice it at first because the steps were fine and incremenetal, this until it was discovered too late 2 generations later, by that time, the Order only had an Empire in name and in paper, but defacto control has already went to the Covenant Cabal and except for a loyal and true remnant of the Order, that had remained faithful and strong to its ideals and founding mission: thus giving them the spiritual, physical, intellectual, and strategic, means to be immune from the Cabal, though they did not know this. At this time most the Order had fallen into the Covenant Cabal's hands.

Collapse of the First Empire

While unoffcially the Empire of the Order was all but a paper tiger. In official documents it still subsisted as an Empire, that was until official powers came about and brought an official dissolution to most of the Empire. Rival nations soon moved in on the Zombie of an Empire which was the sovereign Order, mainly the Commonwealth of Biminda overtook it's Polar, Winter, North Western territories in Draca Mixor, while the Aliqid Caliphate took over in the Middle Continent of Lynx Minor. There was a general bloodbath as civilian and military refugees fled to heartland of the Order that is the islands and the first Mainland Capital Manila, all was lost until an unexpected hope arose from an one devoted to the Immaculate.

Salvation via the Immaculate Magdalan

Just as how the Order was once found by visionaries, and discovered by visionaries and prophets of their age, a new visionary prophetess arose, chosen by God, right the wrongs done by the Order and its enemies and help and purify his people. Then it was Scholastica, now another Joan of Arc had arisen this time in the person of Saint Alesya another Saint like Saint Kalungsod. She was a master stretegist, meanwhile, while the men of the Order who have long surrendered to their lusts, faltered and lost territories and nations all across the world to the rampaging might of her enemies, Saint Alesya who though was porn a humble orphan from the streets, had studied under the remnant nuns, monks, scholars, warrior-ascetics, and priests of the Order and well versed in the Order's Pure and Noble Heritage, rallied the common man and the people to the cause as she led the counter assualt against the Cabal, the Commonwealth and the Caliphate. In a sheer act of genuine faith she listened to God's inner voice to her and had her Priests sanctify the water behind the Hydroelectric Dam of Manila, controlling the flow of the Pasig river, once consecrated she had it exploded as the torrents rushed over the enemies who were crossing the river below. Not only was the enemy assault swept away but it was exposed with shreaking that their enemies were demon-posessed and thus the Cabal was exposed. Though most of Saludong had fallen the old capital in the Mainland the City of Manila which was then a port to the home archipelago and now is practically an island bounded by a river inland and the sea by the shore, will now serve as a means of salvation and perhaps, resurgence for Saludong.

Reconsolidation

From the peak of 2 Billion people the Order once ruledit has been reduced to 23 Million, mostly its' elites who fled the disinitgrated provinces, now is a chance for them for a new beggining.

Mission

At present, the Order has sent expeditions to Old Saludong (AKA) the First Empire only to discover that it has been conquered by the Caliphate of Aliqid and many others so the Order sends warbands to recover territory from the Caliphate and Cabal and there is a concerted “Reconquista” of the old Peninsula. The Order also military intervenes in several campaigns abroad and generally works as “liberationists” since the origins of the Order lie in restoring fallen nations and avenging invasions, it has made it its’ business to liberate the territories of other regions and nations which fell to raiding or imperial control.

Geography

San Kalungsod Saludong Proper

The country is mostly at a highly urbanized tropical archipelago.

San Kalungsod Saludong has territories in 2 land masses. The main territory is at the region of The Islands where it inhabits an archipelago of 12 main islands and hundreds of islets and corral atolls, with a total land area, including inland bodies of water, of 300,000 square kilometers (115,831 sq mi). The islands are composed of volcanic, coral, principal rock formations. Eight major types of forests are distributed throughout the San Kalungsod Saludong; dipterocarp, beach forest, pine forest, molave forest, lower montane forest, upper montane or mossy forest, mangroves, and ultrabasic forest. The highest mountain is Mount Gwapo Ako. It measures up to 2,954 meters (9,692 ft) above sea level and is located on the island of Kita Ay Macho. The largest river is the Rio de Formoso in the island of Tayoy Tisoy

Situated on the southern entrace to continent of Lynx Minor, San Kalungsod Saludong experiences frequent seismic and volcanic activity. Significant mineral deposits exist as a result of the country's complex geologic structure and high level of seismic activity.These deposites are considered highly valuable. Gold, Palladium, Marble and Iron are abundant. Other minerals include Chromite, Nickel, and Zinc. This Metal wealth lies largely un-mined as a result of strict environmental regulations. The Pitoy Plateau to the east is an undersea region active in tectonic subduction. Around 20 earthquakes are registered daily, though most are too weak to be felt. To the immediate north are the colonies of Butuan, General Santos. Sultan Qudarat and Dapitan.

The Archipelagic territories, has two components; the first is the Local Mandates or the Constituent Nations of which, the order has responsibility in defending or organizing, these nations are autonomous and have their own local cultures, languages, currency, police-force, infrastructure and society, but all foreign relations, inter-state commerce, religious guidance and large-scale military affairs are handled by Sovereign Order that shepherds them.

In the home islands, most of the natives are either of Chinese, Indian and Malay descent or Latino plus American.

Due to the archipelagic nature of the area where the Sovereign Order has its' center of civilization and power: transportation is mostly through the maritime transport system or through air traffic, however, within the large and small islands the constituent nations of San Kalungsod Saludong has suzerainty over, they have constructed many types of transportation asides from the aerospace and maritime ones; there are many intra-state roads and bridges within and among islands which are close in proximity to each other and especially among those large enough to support an adequate network of roads. There is also the new application of mass transport systems like Magnetic Levitation Trains or "Maglevs" which run at hyper fast speeds and there are also new Hydrofoil ships which run faster than the conventional ones, recently an archipelago wide Subway system was constructed and now operates.

The Union Heartlands

These territories are directly governed by the Sovereign Order and they often come in the form of incorporated City-States. There are many types of city-states each with their own specialization; some are military, some are religious, some are cultural, some are for governance purposes and some are frontier city-states which has all the elements of the former but has not yet specialized in a specific task, these "seed" settlements are set up in foreign countries hostile to the Soveriegn Order and are tapped as a pacifying force or work as a resource extraction areas for export to the home islands. Asides from these city-states, there are also hinterlands included which are defended by roving patrols of the Sovereign Order's militia as they try to defend or attack some regions. So far these are the regions that our Order has set up City-States or have had Patrols pass through:

Contested Archipelago (Main Base) This is the fabled archipelagic promised land, asides from Old Saludong where San Kalungsod Saludong came from, this is the main set of land the Order holds; in which there are many nations under the Order's mandate here and this where the Order also restored and subsumed the former Republic of the Philippians.

The Continental Colonies

The Order has several colonies mostly in the Middle Eastern Continent of Lynx Minor in the colonial-provinces of the Southern Coasts of that continent, these colonial provinces are Butuan, Sultan Qudarat, General Santos and Dapitan. It also has willingly incoporated kingdoms among the Nordic people of Draca Mixor in the current provinces of Manila, Clark, and Vigan.

Lynx Minor

To direct north of the home archipelago is the continent of Lynx Minor, Lynx Minor is of Middle Eastern ancestry and has a long history of raiding and invading the Malay majority and Latino minority of the home archipelago and one Caliphate even had briefly ruled over most of the home archipelago. When the Order liberated the oppressed former states of the home-archipelago, it had, to the north, the coastal areas of Lynx Minor as its’ primary antagonists. After another failed raid and invasion of the home archipelago by the Coastal Caliphates of Lynx Minor, enough was enough and so Saludong put up a successful retaliatory counter-invasion of the Southern Coasts of Lynx Minor, specifically the regions of Fornax Musica and Elizabeth and destroyed the Caliphates of Durga and Alhimada. Slavery or invasion wasn’t good enough for the centuries of bloodshed they sowed in the home islands, so they were forcibly destroyed and the survivors were often expelled from their homes, only the fittest or most intelligent ones were retained as a servile class for Saludong, however before their Caliphate’s dissolution, they released their former slaves; The Empire of Man-Eaters, an evil nation of Trolls, Ogres, Monsters and Orcs that strips handsome men naked, cooks their muscular bodies and cuts off and harvests plus cooks and eats their human male reproductive organs as delicacies, and they are now the main enemy of human led Saludong. The geography of Lynx Minor territories the Order owns is mostly fertile plains with some forested areas and stunning beaches.

Draca Mixor

The northernmost territories of the Order are in the of Continent of Draca Mixor, it is inhabited by a mixture of Nordic and Germanic peoples who willingly joined the order due to their previous kings having fallen in man-to-man love with the mercenary warriors of the Order who worked as protectors of their realm from invasions originating from the south. In gratitude for protecting their kingdoms, they joined the order. Most of their kingdoms are located at the base of the massive Icy Mountain of Cymbrogi. Their lands are mostly icy, and barren of agriculture, due to this, the merchants of the Saludong mainland get rich by exporting our vegetables, wines, olives, grapes and livestock to Draca Mixor. However, Draca Mixor is nevertheless self sufficient because they have larger revenues from their Oil and Mining industries.

Reconquista (Old Saludong)

At the fallen homeland of Old Saludong, the successor state of San Kalungsod Saludong maintains an Enclave at the Saludong Penninsula primarily in the mountain range of Bagong Asa which lie near the coast and where it maintains bases and armies that aim for the reconquest of the Peninsula. Old Saludong is divided into a temperate north and Mediterranean south bisected by the Sierra Grande Mountain Range. In the northern valleys, pinetree woodlands are common and river systems water the forests and meadows. San Kalungsod Saludong maintains hidden towns and bases in this area as support points for raids and invasions to the megacities of the Aliq Caliphate to the South. Except for the lone city Doledo which was taken in the Reconquista and where it became a translation and reverse-engineering center of San Kalungsod Saludong of the technology and culture of the Aliq Caliphate, the enemy Aliq Caliphate occupy the pseudo-desert and Mediterranean-weathered southern plains. Savannahs, shrubland and fertile agricultural fields feed large cities here which dot the coasts and trade heavily with the Mediterranean Caliphates and Emirates farther to the Middle East and the Southern Continent.

Demographics

Population

The Commission on Population estimated the country's population to be 107,190,081 as of December 31, 4439, based on the latest population census of 4435 conducted by the San Kalungsod Saludong Statistics Authority. The population increased from 4420 to 4439 by approximately 28 million, a 45% growth in that time frame.

The population's median age is 22.7 years with 60.9% aged from 15 to 64 years old. Life expectancy at birth is 74.2 years, 78.1 years for females and 73.9 years for males.

Despite the density, people are young and the population is centered on the Nuclear Family.

The vast majority of the population is urban (90%) and a smaller percentage rural (10%).

There is a slight gender imbalance among the mandates and the order, since San Kalungsod Saludong recruits and reassigns the aristocratic young men of the mandates as members of the Sovereign Order, the mandates, or subkingdoms governed by the order often have Female to Male Ratios of 52 females to 50 males while the Order is exclusively made up of men, excepting the position of "Visionary" an office inherited from the historical female founding president of the Order, Scholastica.

Ethnic Groups

The population is very diverse, it is made up of Malays; Sinitics; Indics; Latinos (Mulattoes, Mestizos and Amerindians) and these three are originally not native to the archipelago since they were colonists from the Hispaniolic empire but they rebelled and formed their own independent Republics in the contested archipelago, there is also a small minority of Aquamen with a tiny remnant of Negritos who are the aboriginal inhabitants before the coming of the Sovereign Order on the contested archipelago.

The Order may be male exclusive but is ethnically inclusive.

Meanwhile, the Order gains its' members from all the races from the nations it has mandates over, however it also selectively breeds these races and refines them and has a eugenics program over them. Within their jurisdictions, the constituent states that the Order has suzerainty over, are encouraged but not compelled to keep racial purities. However, to make sure the stock does not in-breed they are also allowed a certain level of interbreeding with other races too to keep genetic fitness in good levels. Asides from these races, another small minority of peoples; the Saludong survivors which are known for their colored eyes and tanned skin and tall stature are also part of the Sovereign Order of Kalungsod, however, they circulate only among the Sovereign Order but not disturb the autonomous constituencies the Sovereign Order has mandates over.

Languages

The main language in real life where Saludongenyo is based over is actually Filipino as it is a cosmopolitan admixture of Latin-American Spanish, Chinese, Sanskrit, Arabic and Malayo-Polynesian (Otherwise, in the alternate world, it's just called Saludongenyo). The main practiced foreign languages are English, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Malay, Sanskrit and Tamil and is spoken by the former colonists and immigrants from these nations. There are several protected native major regional languages, all part of the Austronesian language family except the Hispanic Creole called Chavacano. These are: Singhapalan, Naymilan, Puto-anon, Lindaonon, Suluknon, Madasnon and Lapitanenyo. There are other languages too but they have smaller numbers of speakers. There are also Saludongian Negrito languages and finally the indecipherable language of the Aquamen who speak in the sonar level. The Latin Script is the official script although Baybayin and the Abugida of the native Malay words, based off of Indic scripts is used in a decorative and formal manner, the local Muslims also use Kawi a local adaptation of Arabic Script. Sinic, Indic and Arabic scripts are used in an auxiliary manner mostly by migrants from these language group to San Kalungsod Saludong.

Ethnologue lists multiple languages spoken across the Order, the Order is subdivided among houses which use a common mother tounge.

Religion

Most Saludongians are Roman Catholic.

The official religion of San Kalungsod Saludong is the one which Saint Kalungsod belonged to, and that is, "Catholicism". Previously the first religion to arise in the contested archipelago was the Animism of the native aboriginal Negritos, the Malayo-Polynesians who superceded them and then formed the base and majority of most of the population were also animists but took on spiritist forms, organized religion began in the contested archipelago when the Sinitics introduced Buddhism and Taoism among the islands by trading and settling in the contested archipelago, however they did not form any significant states except for Fengaschilan, the ones that did form states however where the Indics and Arabs, Indics introduced Hinduism which however was soon struggling against and supplanted by Islam. All these religions however were soon absorbed and incorporated into Catholicism with the coming advent of the Order of San Kalungsod Saludong imposing their spiritual guidance upon the nations of the contested archipelago and some native gods/goddesses or their foreign counterparts became titles of the Virgin Mary or Patron Saints under the new Catholic God which Saint Kalungsod taught to the people by leaving them the Codex of the "Doctrina Christiana" written in three scripts used in the archipelago: Latin script, Baybayin and Sinitic script. It became a chief source text for the later "Compedium Saludong" which fused these as well as Philippian texts and codices from Old Saludong.

People without insurance through employers can participate in a national health insurance program administered by local governments. Since 1973, all elderly persons have been covered by government-sponsored insurance.

Considering the Order's charism of physical fitness, asides from the healthcare provided by the local Mandate-Nations, Universal Healthcare is ensured among all members of the Order itself, with personal trainers even attached. This is because healthcare and exercise is a top priority among Order members.

Culture

The Sovereign Order of Kalungsod Saludong has a deep reverence for native cultures it protects and also an open-mindedness as well as willingness to learn from foreign cultures and sometimes reverse-engineer these foreign cultures if they pose a threat. Primarily; San Kalungsod Saludong is Sovereign Order having mandates over several island nations set in the tropics with a Negrito remnant, Malayo-Polynesian base with some elements of Chinese, Indian and Arab mixed in, added with a Latino superstrate but formal culture is based on Greago-Roman traditions and due to the tropical weather (Except in the mountain areas) people prefer to walk around lightly or not clad at all with men often not wearing any shirts or deciding to go around completely naked (As they also make it an opportunity to show off their manly physique; abs, pecs and biceps and all, as well as the battle scars and war tattoos they have earned through conquest) while women often wear see-through sheer fabric which is a bit airy and translucent so that they can show off their voluptuous curves (Including teasingly showing off their cleavages and smooth legs). Sometimes, the people, especially the most fit and attractive men earn a physical fitness license which gives them the right to go around fully naked and arouse and also inspire others to attain their good physical physiques.

The Archipelago's architecture is an eclectic mix of Malayo-Polynesian, Sinitic, Indic and Latino-Hispaniolic.

Physical fitness isn't the only focus of the Order, it also specializes in military affairs, boys are initiated into manhood by first joining a branch of the armed forces whether it by the military, navy or air force, seeing how most of the archipelago's territory is sea-based, most boys join the navy or the air force although a select few earn entry into the military. In the enclave of Old Saludong where the Reconquest of Old Saludong by the successor state of San Kalungsod Saludong is undergoing, the people practice a mix of San Kalungsod Saludongian culture and Aliqid Caliphate one.

As a general description, the distinct value system of Saludongians is rooted primarily in personal alliance systems, especially those based in kinship, obligation, friendship, religion (particularly Christianity), training brotherhood and commercial relationships.

Saludongian values are, for the most part, centered around maintaining social harmony, motivated primarily by the desire to be accepted within a group. The main sanction against diverging from these values are the concepts of "Hiya", roughly translated as 'a sense of shame', and "Amor propio" or 'self-esteem'. Social approval, acceptance by a group, and belonging to a group are major concerns. Caring about what others will think, say or do, are strong influences on social behavior among Saludongios.

Other elements of the San Kalungsod Saludongio value system are optimism about the future, pessimism about present situations and events, concern and care for other people, the existence of friendship and friendliness, the habit of being hospitable, religious nature, respectfulness to self and others, respect for the female members of society, the fear of God, and abhorrence of acts of cheating and thievery.

Local Mandates

The territories of San Kalungsod Saludong are divided into “Colonies” which are occupied territories in the continental mainland, "Mandates" which are autonomous but pay tribute to the Order and the "Union Heartlands" which are directly governed by the Order. Each mandate is either governed by a local king whether it be a Datu, Rajah or Sultan, for native kingdoms, or a President called a "Caudillo" when ruled as a Cacique Republic. Together with the King or Caudillo, there is the Senate with 50 members each. The Mandates' government is responsible for things that affect their local kingdom, such as the maintenance of roads, services between cities and the creation of laws and decrees that only make sense within the territory of a particular Mandate and would be unnecessary, counterproductive or redundant in others. The Mandates are expected to contribute Men to become the Order's members, from their Aristocratic class, and serve as soldiers or workers in the Order's many missions in the Archipelago or Abroad.

Each Mandate is divided into Districts, also known as Communes, which are responsible for the majority of civil services in the cities, towns and villages of each Mandate. Each District is governed by a Governor or Mayor, together with a group of 9 people who are known as Commune Councilors.

Order-Level Supra Governance

The Senate Grand Chamber.

The Order is symbolically headed by the King of the Paleologos Dynasty who's current Title Bearer is Renato Galang who married the last princess of the Paleologos, Princess Pochwang, a surviving family of Old Saludong, who is coincidentally elected as High-King over all other local kings in the Contested Archipelago, he holds no political power though and is merely a symbolic figurehead and a sign of unity. The highest political authority in the land is the secret Grandmaster called a "Lakan", who in turn is elected by the Aristocratic Classes from all the Mandates of the Order and the Warrior bloodlines from Old Saludong. Membership in an Aristocracy is partially meritocratic and partially sanguinic and can be attained by either being born into an Aristocratic family or be conferred by the Grandmaster a title of Knighthood or Nobility. There are caveats though, only a limited number of families in a Mandate-Nation can be considered Aristocratic and every son only inherits a position that's one rank lower than his father's. So, if there is no merit produced by a dynasty, the family loses the Aristocratic status after several generations. Noble status is required as entrance into the Order. The Government of the Order is divided into Executive, Judicial and Legislative branches, led by the President, Chief Justice and Chairman. Meanwhile the Order's Senate is divided into a House of Patricians made exclusively of Noble Families from Old Saludong and a House of Representatives made up of Representatives from the Mandates. Within the various rival noble families are also various parties and factions. There is a merchant faction that focuses on business, a developmental faction which deal with agrarian and urban issues, the militant faction which irks for foreign expeditions, a religious faction which seeks to stay true to the ideals of Saludong, the Philippians and San (Saint) Kalungsod, there is an Ecological party who want laws restricting pollution and is looking for sustainable living.

The Senate is a bicameral legislature. The upper house, the Council of Patricians, is composed of 24 Patricians from families descended from Old Saludong, elected via the plurality-at-large voting with the country as one at-large "district". The Patricians elect among themselves a Grand Patrician. Half of the council seats are contested every 3 years, and patricians are limited to serving a maximum of three of these six-year terms.

The lower house is the House of Representatives, currently composed of 292 representatives, with no more than 20% elected via party-list system, with the rest elected from legislative districts. The House of Representatives is headed by the Speaker. Representatives are elected every three years, and are limited to three three-year terms.

Each bill needs the consent of both houses to be submitted to the Grand Master for his signature. If the Grand Master vetoes the bill, the Senate can override the veto with a two-thirds supermajority. If either house voted down on a bill or fails to act on it after an adjournment sine die, the bill is lost and would have to be proposed to the next Senate, with the process starting all over again. The Senate's decisions are mostly via majority vote, except for voting on constitutional amendments and other matters. Each house has its inherent power, with the Council of Patricians given the power to vote on treaties, while money bills may only be introduced by the House of Representatives. The constitution provides the Senate with impeachment powers, with the House of Representatives having the power to impeach, and the Council of Patricians having the power to try the impeached official.

The Nuova Unione Alternativa, the Partido Ng Nasyonalista, the Paksyong Natin, Harmoniya Ng Bayan, the Kompanya Militar, the Grupong Sufi, and the Commune Reformasyon; are the parties with the largest membership in the Senate. The party of the sitting Grand Master controls the House of Representatives, while the House of Representatives has been more independent. From 1907 to 1941, the Partido Ng Nasyonalista operated under a dominant-party system, with factions within that party becoming the primary political discourse. The current political climate of a multi-party system, bloomed, starting from 1941 and persists into this day.

Military

The Grandmaster is the elected commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the Order and he is the highest governing authority of the land since after the restoration, the King only became a symbolic figure. The officers however are elected among several royal and noble families that are part of the sub-kingdoms and mandates of the order. The Department of Defense is directly under the Order and administers the six branches of the armed forces which are, the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Airforce, Coastguard and Spaceforce. In 4439 the reported number of troops and personnel were 2.5 Million. Military service in the Order is compulsory and men are conscripted from their mid teens, women are not allowed to be conscripted and are not even members of the Order since the Order exclusively recruits members among the male tributes of the mandate, but women have advisor, managerial and client roles and men are required to exercise in the nude under the command of these women as well as to give service to them.

The nation has an enemy in the name of the Evil Empire of Maneaters, it is an empire inhabited by monsters which took a prevarication to repeatedly assault Saludong and capture its’ fit young men and muscle bound champions to serve as meals for it’s monstrous citizens. It especially likes eating Saludong’s Men’s manhoods since their masculine private parts are considered a delicacy in that nation. It is waging war against enemies like the Evil Empire of Maneatersaand Reconquering Old Saludong from the invading Caliphate and to wage these wars, the army maintains several industrial grade weapons. There is a large infantry brigade and they are equipped with the latest weapons, like infrared sight, Artificial Intelligence, Orbital Satellite Monitoring, Storage Miniaturization, Lasers and Laser Guided Missiles, several warships which include: corvettes, frigates, battleships, cruisers, submarines, and aircraft carriers. The army trains regularly and at times of invasions from outside, there are conscription to protect the Home Islands. Otherwise, there is no conscription of the general civilian population as most of the male population are already serving as Knights of the Order.

From its dual inception during the Old Saludong Civil War and the Philippian Revolution, the Armed Forces have played a decisive role in the history of the Order. It helped forge a sense of national unity and identity through its victories in the War of Restoration and the War of the Reconquest of Old Saludong, attacks against the man eating Evil Empire of Maneaters and several other enemies of the White Giant Alliance. The National Security Act of 1947, adopted following the War of Restoration, created the modern San Kalungsod Saludong military framework. The Act made the National Military Establishment, headed by the secretary of defense; and created the SKS Force and the National Security Council. It was amended in 1949, renaming the National Military Establishment the Department of Defense, and merged the cabinet-level the Army Department, the Navy Department , & Department of the Air Force, to the Defense Department.

Watercraft is the chief mode of transport in the archipelago.

Transportation in the contested archipelago is facilitated by road, air, rail and waterways. As of December 2018, there are 210,528 kilometers (130,816 mi) of roads in the archipelago, with only 65,101 kilometers (40,452 mi) of roads paved. The 919-kilometer (571 mi) Strong Archipelago Nautical Highway (SRNH), an integrated set of highway segments and ferry routes covering 17 cities was established in 2003. The Pan-Kalungsod Saludong Highway connects the islands, forming the backbone of land-based transportation in the country. Roads are the dominant form of transport, carrying 98% of people and 58% of cargo. A network of expressways extends from the capital to other areas of the main island. Traffic is a significant issue facing the country, especially within Salute-dong the largest city and on arterial roads connecting to the capital, Barangay Nating Ganda.

Public transport in the country include buses, jeepneys, UV Express, TNVS, Filcab, taxis, and tricycles. Jeepneys are a popular and iconic public utility vehicle. Despite wider historical use, rail transport in the archipelago is extremely limited, being confined to transporting passengers between the largest city and the capital.The capital is served by three rapid transit lines: LRT Line 1, LRT Line 2 and MRT Line 3. Railway lines that are under-construction include the 4-kilometre (2.5 mi) Line 2 East Extension Project (2020), the 22.8-kilometre (14.2 mi) MRT Line 7 (2020), the 35-kilometre (22 mi) The Salute-Dong Subway (2025), and the 109-kilometre (68 mi) PNR North-South Commuter Railway which is divided into several phases, with partial operations to begin in 2022. The civil airline industry is regulated by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Archipelago. The SKS Airlines is the national flaship Air Carrier.

As an archipelago, inter-island travel using watercraft is often necessary. Boats have always been important to societies in the archipelago. Most boats are double-outrigger vessels, which can reach up to 30 metres (98 ft) in length, known as banca/bangka, parao, prahu, or balanghay. A variety of boat types are used throughout the islands, such as dugouts (baloto) and house-boats like the lepa-lepa. Terms such as bangka and baroto are also used as general names for a variety of boat types. Modern ships use plywood in place of logs and motor engines in place of sails.
